Family Owned by the Nevin Family Since 1953, Quality Hardwood Floor's presence in the Spokane area can be seen through their work at the Davenport Hotel, Bird Mansion, and many Gymnasiums in the region.
Project Details
Their original site was developed by me in early 2013 and was one of the first websites I developed. 7 years later it was time for a refresh of their website design and platform. The work throughout this project included design, development, and hosting. I currently manage their website hosting through DigitalOcean and Laravel Forge. Development is completed through GitHub and is deployed to the server via webhooks on Laravel Forge.
Project Highlights
I developed a custom Vue component to showcase their customer testimonials by pulling data from the WordPress REST API and showing them in a paginated section on the page.
Since the website was built with custom block functionality for the Gutenberg editor, testimonials can be added to any page or section throughout the site and is available in both grid mode and slider/carousel mode. Additionally, Call-to-Action sections and image galleries can also be easily added to pages through the Gutenberg block editor.
Forms on the website are powered by the "HTML forms" plugin. This brings in minimal functionality without any additional markup, css, or javascript. To enable email sending, Sparkpost API is implemented to send email as the client's company email address and custom HTML emails are sent to both customers and the client.
